I will stamp all over 'serious combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be shown live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Ex twice unified boxing king Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

Despite these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead attacked former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the novice remains one of boxing's largest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly happening.
